Dialog - 30 plus years of Discussion and counting...
perhaps the time has come!!!

Over the past 30+ years our Church has engaged in ongoing dialog on the issue of whether scripture permits the full inclusion LGBT members in the carrying out  of it's sacred rites and ceremonies.  During this time, they have also pondered the question of whether women were qualified or suitable, despite contradictory scripture, to serve as Priests or Bishops.  Experience has proven that, contrary to the accepted 'Tradition', women are fully qualified, capable and suitable as Priests and Bishops.  While the recent election of Katharine Jefferts Schori as our Presiding Bishop would seem to have settled the issue, yet there are still members of the Church who will not accept the appropriateness of her being our Presiding Bishop.

The acceptance of openly LGBT members as Priests and Bishops has moved more slowly.  And while we see progress in acceptance, we continue t experience resistance by members of our Anglican Communion whose cultural heritage is often not inclusive or accepting of the rights of women, minorities or members of the LGBT community.
